We are extremely pleased to say that we have now appointed the fourth member of the selection panel for Fakenham Contemporary Art 2011: sculptor and photographer Kabir Hussain. As well as being a master founder who has over 15 years of experience casting bronze sculptures for his own work as well as for other leading contemporary artists, Kabir is also a photographer and draughtsman of note. All of these aspects of his practice came together in his 2008 exhibition at the prestigious Sainsbury Centre For Visual Arts entitled Mapping Norfolk. We are very happy to have Kabir on board. Kabir will sit on the selection panel alongside artists Helen Bullard, Debbie Osborn and Keith Osborn.
We are now in the process of receiving from artists their entries for the exhibition. This is always an exciting time and we look forward to a bumper mailbag of submissions before the closing date of 17 June. If you still need to send us your entry please don’t delay – there isn’t long!
