The third Fakenham Art Biennial exhibition will be held from Thursday 11 July until Sunday 21 July 2013 at Fakenham Parish Church, Upper Market,Fakenham, NR21 9DB and is aimed at emerging and established artists and makers in Norfolk working in a range of media. There will be a Private View on Wednesday 10 July 2013 to which all selected artists will be invited.

- Entrants should be resident in Norfolk
- Work can be in any of the following media: ceramics, collage, drawing, film, installation, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and textiles.
- Work submitted must be original, and completed within the last two years
- Work must not have been previously submitted to Fakenham Art Biennial
- A maximum of four works per entrant is permitted
- A non-refundable submission fee of £6.00 per work is payable by cheque made payable to Fakenham PCC at the time of submission.
- All work must be available for sale. A commission of 20% of the sale price of the work is payable to Fakenham Parish Church.

Entry forms should be fully completed and all details should be clearly printed. All measurements should be stated in centimetres, height x width (including frame). The artist should clearly mark on the form the price at which the work is for sale. This must include the 20% commission payable toFakenhamParishChurch.

Images of work must be submitted on a clearly labelled CD (or if a CD is impossible, as high quality photographs of at least 15cm x 15cm). Images should be no more than 5MB in size. Completed entry forms, submission fees, and a clearly labelled CD or photographs should be submitted to the following address:

Submissions will not be accepted unless accompanied by a completed entry form and relevant fee. All CD’s and images are non-returnable. The organisers reserve the right to use any images supplied in publicity for the exhibition. The closing date for submissions is Monday 29 April 2013.

Selection is by open submission. Selectors will be specifically looking for innovation and quality within the body of work submitted. Selection decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard. Artists will be informed of the outcome of their submission by the end of May 2013. It may be that some works are ‘selected but not hung’. In this case, Fakenham Art Biennial will inform artists whose work has not been hung before the Private View on Wednesday 10 July 2013.

We will take all reasonable care in the handling and safeguarding of items submitted but do not accept liability for damages to works whilst in transit or on the premises. Work is entered at the artist’s own risk and exhibitors are recommended to make their own insurance arrangements.

Artists will arrange delivery of selected work directly toFakenhamParishChurchon Friday 28 June 2013 between 5pm and 8pm, or Saturday 29 June 2013 between 5pm and 8pm. All work should be clearly labelled with the following: name of artist, title of work, medium (if mixed media, please specify main media used) and selling price. Work should arrive in secure condition (framed and glazed where appropriate) and be well protected on sides and corners. Any projections on the back of work such as hooks or rings should be removed. Wall hung works should be mirror-plated by the artist for exhibition. The top of the work should be clearly marked TOP on the reverse. Any special hanging or display instructions should be clearly visible and securely fixed to the back or bottom of the work.

All work will be for sale at the price determined by the artist, which must include 20% commission payable to Fakenham Parish Church. No prices will be negotiable. Artists will receive final payment after the close of the exhibition.

Collection of unsold work will take place directly from Fakenham Parish Church on Friday 26 July 2013 between 5pm and 8pm, or Saturday 27 July 2013 between 5pm and 8pm. Work will not be available for collection outside of these dates unless by pre-agreement. We reserve the right to charge for storage of works that are not collected on the specified dates at a rate of £5 per work per week.
